En Apocalipsis: The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, juegas como Harry, cuya pérdida del amado fue el fin de su mundo. Ahora tiene que salir a recorrer los extraños, inhóspitos y lugares embrujados para recuperarla. En su viaje conocerá seres fantásticos, provenientes de las visiones de los artistas del siglo XV y XVI como Hans Holbein o Albrecht Dürer. En Apocalipsis las tallas de madera estáticas de antaño comienzan a vivir su propia vida, forman un mundo nuevo inspirado en el Libro de la Revelación y el estilo del Danse Macabre - un mundo lleno de miedo, muerte y enfermedad. Sin embargo, aún queda espacio para el amor verdadero en estas tierras siniestras...Apocalipsis también marca la primera aparición de la banda de black metal más vendida, Behemoth, en el mundo de los videojuegos. Con la música de Behemoth escondida en el gameplay y Nergal (el líder misterioso de la banda) narrando, es una experiencia infierno.
